The idea for Private Auto Expo (PAE) blossomed out of years of frustration with the private vehicle buying and selling process. Like many people, I’ve always been drawn to the excitement of acquiring something new and different, a new project but the hassle and headaches that came with buying or selling a vechicle privately often made me second-guess diving into the market.

From a safety standpoint, I wasn’t comfortable having strangers come to my house, especially when large sums of cash were involved. It didn’t feel Safe for my family, and was unsettling at times. Beyond that, the endless time wasted dealing with irrelevant questions on marketplaces, unsubstantiated offers from people who weren’t serious buyers, and the frustration of arranging to meet with no-shows was enough to make anyone give up on the idea of buying or selling a car.

I couldn’t believe how much valuable time was lost in this process—days, nights, and weekends spent waiting for buyers who had promised to show up or meet at a set location, only to completely disappear without a word. That constant disappointment, the missed opportunities, and the time taken away from my family, hobbys and simply time better spent were enough to push me to find a better way.

That frustration sparked the concept behind Private Auto Expo: a safe, comfortable, and organized environment where buyers and sellers could meet and exchange vehicles without all the stress and vulnerability. Our mission is to make the process of buying and selling a car enjoyable again—providing a hassle-free, Safe, and efficient experience that benefits everyone involved.
